A Tripod model miniature from the classic BBC sci-fi drama series based on John Christopher's book series The Tripods.

In the series, the Earth was conquered by an alien race known as the Masters, who patrolled the land in giant Tripods. When humans reached the age of 16, they were "capped", placing their minds under the control of the aliens. A group of young friends avoided being "capped" and went in search of a group of "free men".

This model miniature originated from BBC special effects artist and model maker Mike Tucker. Model-miniature Tripods from the series are incredibly rare, making this a fantastic opportunity to acquire a piece from the cult series. This is one of only three "squatting" Tripods made for the production.

The model is constructed primarily from fibreglass and metal. It retains some of the fishing wire used to move the feet during the production. It has some minor wear from age and use, most notably a small hole in the fuselage. It is displayed on a custom-made base. Dimensions (on display): 33 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm (13" x 13.75" x 8")
