A Sam (Quinn Lord) mask and costume display from Michael Dougherty's horror anthology Trick 'r Treat. Sam appeared in each story, including his own, "Sam," when he terrorized the ill-tempered Mr. Kreeg (Brian Cox).
This lot consists of a foam latex pumpkin-shaped mask hand-painted in muted orange tones with brown veins to appear flesh-like and lively and applied over rigid plastic skull for stability, as well as an orange fleece onesie with yellow burlap patches and beige hessian gloves. The mask features a hole from a shotgun blast above the right eye where Kreeg shot Sam, as well as stitch-like detailing around the mouth and left eye.
This lot comes mounted via metal poles in the feet to a custom-made faux stone display base with faux leaves. The burlap mask and Jack-O-Lantern lollipop held in opposite hands are replicas added to complete the display. Though the lot underwent sympathetic restoration following production, it still exhibits cracking and flaking foam on the mask, separating from the body, and tears in the toes of the onesie. As this display ships from Los Angeles, shipping should be arranged with Propstore prior to bidding. Dimensions (displayed): 146.25 cm x 45.75 cm x 35.75 cm (57.5" x 18" x 14")
