A piece of tail section from the insect robot Scorponok seen in the 2007 sci-fi action film Transformers. This tail section was used for live action sequences towards the beginning of the film when the few remaining soldiers are being secretly tracked by the Decepticon Scorponok in the desert are ambushed. This impressive character would have been created using a combination of CGI and pieces such as this.
The piece is made from metal with fibreglass detailing with an internal metal rod. The detailing pieces are painted to appear like metal, have ‘scrapes’ and chunks out of it that appear as though the tough metal has been damaged. The tail piece comes mounted on round base that has been made to look sandy/desert like measuring 40cm x 24cm (15.75” x 9.5”) And is in a very good production used condition.
