Pete "Maverick" Mitchell's (Tom Cruise) uniform nameplate from the production of Tony Scott's Top Gun. Navy pilot Mitchell wore his nameplate on his lapel throughout his time at the Naval Air Station Miramar's elite "Top Gun" fighter program, including when he first met instructor Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood (Kelly McGillis) at a local bar.

Maverick and his fellow officers kept their iconic brass-color nameplates pinned to both their service khakis and their more formal summer whites as proof of the intense discipline and regimentation developed during their time in the program. The nameplates again appeared (albeit with updated designs) when Mitchell was called back to the program in Joseph Kosinski's Top Gun: Maverick.

Made of metallized plastic, this front plate is engraved with Mitchell's name and the text "Topgun 1" beside a red, white, and blue applique of the Fighter Weapons School emblem. Two pins are fitted on the reverse for attaching the nameplate to Maverick's costume. It exhibits some scuffing and scratching to the paint, as well as glue residue under the pins from production. Dimensions: 3" x 1" x 0.5" (7.75 cm x 2.75 cm x 1.5 cm)
