A hand-painted costume design for Frances Stevens (Grace Kelly) from the production of Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief. This design was created by Hollywood legend Edith Head, who won a record eight Academy Awards for costume design throughout her career, and was nominated for her work on the film.

Rendered in watercolour, pencil and ink on illustration board, this sketch of Kelly dressed in a green satin gown features handwritten annotations. Head has signed the lower right corner in pencil; the production title and actress' name are written at the top. The design exhibits some minor discolouration due to its age, with marks around the edges and some light smudging on the annotations. Also included is a handwritten letter of authenticity from an acquaintance of Head. Dimensions: 49.75 cm x 37 cm (19.5" x 14.5")
