Jane Foster's (Natalie Portman) stunt 1973 Pinzgauer 710K from Kenneth Branagh's Thor. Jane Foster and her companions, Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard), used her Pinzgauer to study strange atmospheric phenomena occurring in New Mexico.
Thor was the 15th highest-grossing film of 2011, bringing in $449.3 million worldwide. It was the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, introduced the character Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and laid the groundwork for both Thor's role as an Avenger and his brother Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) role as the villain of the first Avengers film. Both continued to play central roles in many subsequent MCU projects.
This 1973 Pinzgauer 710K, manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch with the VIN 5701848, features a tan body originally designed for all-terrain use with a nearly-flat front beneath the windshield and the engine sitting next to the driver's seat. It has four black rubber tires with a spare on the back of the vehicle. It has been outfitted with grill and bumper guards, a front winch, red gas canisters, a rear ladder, roof lights (not currently wired), and a roof rack with non-functional meteorological equipment. This vehicle was heavily modified for stunt use with extensive changes to its chassis and steering. Its engine has also been replaced. The odometer currently reads 31,297 miles, but this may be inaccurate. This vehicle is not currently functional and exhibits some paint chipping, rusting, cracks in the wooden side runners, and grime throughout the interior.
