A Seven-Headed Demon Costume from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s apocalypse comedy, This Is the End. In the film, the principle cast of comedians play themselves caught in the middle of the Rapture. This suit was made for a stand-in suit performer to wear during the final sequence when Rogen and Jay Baruchel are confronted with the towering monster. The character was later reimagined and created primarily as a computer generated character.
This costume consists of the main body suit, gloves, and stilt boots. The suit is made primarily of cast foam that has been attached to a cloth under suit. The foam has been sculpted to resemble an anatomy sculpted from molten rock, and is painted to match in glowing red tones. The suit features two back zippers hidden under a flap of flocked foam. Under this flap are the two zippers, as this piece is designed to be put on with the help of several dressers. A foam codpiece is attached to the groin and hides a concealed zipper. Multiple clasps are attached around the neck, which were meant to attach to a mask piece.
The cloven boots are custom made for the film, and feature a pair of athletic sneakers with welded, metal extensions attached to the sole to give the wearer monstrous height. The boots are covered with foam latex made to appear as a pair of cloven feet. The foam latex gloves complete the costume and are sculpted and painted to match the main suit. This costume remains in great, production used condition.
