An Edvard-Thing design maquette from the production of Matthijs van Heijningen, Jr.'s The Thing. A Thing overtook and imitated Edvard Wolner (Trond Espen Seim) until it was forced to reveal itself after being wounded in a fuel tank explosion.

This plaster maquette was sculpted by creature designer Casey Love at Academy Award®-winning special effects group Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI) as an effects design reference for the Edvard-Thing's transformation sequence. It is applied with a glossy finish and mounted to a faux stone display base labeled for ADI. The plaster exhibits fractures in multiple places, and several small pieces have come loose, including segments of its foot and tail. Dimensions: 11.5" x 10" x 6" (29.25 cm x 25.5 cm x 15.25 cm)
