A hand-painted Boba Fett animation cel from Steve Binder and David Acomba's The Star Wars Holiday Special. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) traveled to Chewbacca's home planet Kashyyyk, but were stopped on their journey by an Imperial blockade.

The holiday special commemorated Boba Fett's (Gabriel Dell/Don Francks) first appearance in the franchise before his official live-action introduction in Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Original cels from the Holiday Special are rare, especially those depicting the fearsome bounty hunter.

The special's animation segment was produced by Nelvana animation company. This animation cel is hand-painted acetate featuring Boba Fett with a color-printed photocopied background numbered for sequence "15/4" on the bottom. The acetate layer is the hand-painted image of Boba Fett's helmet marked along the bottom as "15-14" and "BH-3."

Also included with this animation cel are three color-printed stills of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), and stormtroopers from Star Wars: A New Hope. The cel exhibits minor tearing to the acetate's bottom edges and discoloration and tape residue on the background image, while the stills exhibits wear and creasing.
