An animation cel from Matt Groening's The Simpsons autographed by Groening and Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy guest starred on two episodes of the long-running animated comedy: Season 4's "Marge vs. The Monorail" and Season 8's "The Springfield Files," both of which are often ranked amongst the greatest episodes of the series.

This framed and matted cel, from Leonard Nimoy's personal collection, comes from "Marge vs. The Monorail" and is hand-painted onto an acetate sheet over a photocopied background of the monorail. It features a hand-drawn Bart in the lower left corner with personal inscription from Matt Groening in black ink. Additionally it features Nimoy's autograph on the white matte in blue ink. This lot exhibits minor discoloration on the matte, as well as scuffing and residue on the frame. Dimensions: 51.5 cm x 41.25 cm x 3.25 cm (20.25" x 16.25" x 1.25")

Proceeds from this lot, curated by Julie Nimoy, daughter of Leonard Nimoy, and her husband David Knight, will go towards the creation of the Leonard Nimoy LLAP Memorial sculpture at the Museum of Science in Boston, and towards supporting COPD research being conducted by Dr. John Belperio and his team at UCLA Medical Center.
