An animation cel of Leonard Nimoy and Lenny Burns (Harry Shearer) from the animated series The Simpsons annotated by co-creator Matt Groening. In the Season 8 episode "The Springfield Files," Nimoy introduced the episode with mention of alien sightings in Springfield, then later appeared found Mr. Burns exploring the forest after ingesting painkillers.

This lot consists of a hand-painted acetate animation cel of Nimoy and Burns with a printed forest tree-line background. It features a 20th Century Fox label numbered 6817 and is hand-annotated with a personal note to Nimoy from Groening and comes mounted in a black metal frame with white and yellow matting with a Simpsons certificate adhered to the back. This lot exhibits minor grime. Dimensions: 18" x 15.5" x 0.75" (45.75 cm x 39.5 cm x 2 cm)

Additional Provenance: A Certificate of Authenticity signed by Nimoy's daughter Julie Nimoy stating the piece comes from the personal collection of Nimoy.
