Ellis Boyd 'Red' Redding's (Morgan Freeman) screen-matched costume from Frank Darabont's prison drama The Shawshank Redemption. Redding wore his costume, the facility's standard prison uniform, while incarcerated at Shawshank State Prison. This costume screen-matches to several scenes.

This lot consists of a blue and white striped long-sleeve, button-up cotton shirt hand-marked "Red #2" with black buttons, a "W.C.C." (Western Costume Company) stamp, and a patch above the left breast pocket stenciled with the number "30265"; and faded blue denim trousers hand-marked "Red #4" on the inside with a Western Costume Co. stamp. In addition to production-applied aging, the costume exhibits some yellowing, staining, and pulled threads.
