Andy Dufresne's (Tim Robbins) letter to Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman) from Frank Darabont's prison drama The Shawshank Redemption. Sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary, Andy Dufresne (Robbins) developed a bond with a fellow inmate (Morgan Freeman) and laundered money for the corrupt warden (Bob Gunton). At the end of the film, Red found a box of money Andy left hidden for him, along with a letter inviting him to join him in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Created by a hired contractor, the letter, handwritten in ink, exhibits fold creases from production. Dimensions: 8.5" x 11" (21.75 cm x 28 cm)

Additional Provenance: A Letter of Authenticity signed by Michael Marcus who was hired by production to create Andy's letter to Red.
