Bogs Diamond’s (Mark Rolston) prisoner shirt from Frank Darabont’s The Shawshank Redemption. Bogs wore his prison shirt as part of his inmate ensemble while he and the Sisters repeatedly terrorised Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) during his early years at Shawshank. This continued relentlessly until Bogs was brutally beaten by Captain Hadley (Clancy Brown), leaving him permanently injured and transferred to a low-security hospital for the remainder of his sentence.

This pinstriped prisoner shirt features Bogs’ inmate number patch, “31804”, stitched to the left breast. The garment has an intentional slit running up the right sleeve to the elbow, suggesting it was specifically modified for the scene in which the severely injured Bogs has his sleeve rolled up to accommodate his arm in a sling.
“Bogs” is handwritten in black marker inside the collar, while “#38” is marked internally on the tail of the shirt. A production label attached to the cuff is printed with “16”, with “36 #38” additionally handwritten in black marker.
