A Rocketeer helmet created by Disney with direct lineage to the production originals from Joe Johnston's The Rocketeer. In The Rocketeer, pilot Cliff Secord (Bill Campbell) donned his iconic helmet when he took flight using an experimental jetpack designed by Howard Hughes (Terry O'Quinn).

Following filming, Disney obtained production castings created by the Design Setters model shop for the Rocketeer's helmet in Johnston's film. From those castings, Disney then created fiberglass helmets - rather than the slushcast used for the production - for Rocketeer costumes worn by actors as walk-around costumes at its Disneyland theme park.

This crested fiberglass helmet is inset with tinted plastic lenses, affixed with a leather chin strap, and painted in the Rocketeer's signature gold. It is intentionally distressed to appear tarnished and exposed to the elements in flight. The helmet exhibits cracking in its upper right thruster, as well as scratching on the interior from wear. Dimensions: 20.5" x 8.5" x 10.5" (52 cm x 21.75 cm x 26.75 cm)
