An F/A-18 Hornet cockpit instrument panel from Michael Bay's The Rock. The pilot of an F/A-18 Hornet fighter used the center stick in his cockpit to release a single thermite plasma missile toward Alcatraz, despite the abort order.
Constructed in exacting detail from a variety of real-world avionic components made by such aeronautics firms as Cessna and McLeod Aero, this metal cockpit panel features multiple gauges and knobs labeled for the aircraft's "Simulated System Firing Lasor" [sic], "Anti-Collision LTS," "Tsarcom," and "Launch Detector," among other high-tech capabilities. The front of the panel is also labeled with individual part numbers, FSNs, and serial numbers and distressed by production with various scuffs and scratches to appear well-used in aerial operations. Its reverse is backed with wood framing and inset with wiring for installing into a cockpit interior set.
Some knobs have fallen off since production, the metal components exhibit rusting, and the current functionalities of the panel and its components all remain untested. Dimensions: (largest) 24" x 21.5" x 13.5" (61 cm x 54.75 cm x 34.5 cm)
Contains electronic and mechanical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
