A photo-matched plank autographed by the cast of British slapstick comedy classic The Plank.
The plank has been autographed in black ink by 25 cast members and two crew members:Tommy Cooper, Eric Sykes, Jimmy Edwards, Roy Castle, Jim Dale, Jimmy Tarbuck, Hattie Jacques, Libby Morris, Bill Oddie, Stratford Johns, Johnny Speight, Graham Stark, Anna Carteret, Rex Garner, John Junkin, Joan Young, Barney Gilbraith, Clovissa Newcombe, Dermot Kelly, Thomas Gallagher, Howard Douglas, Ronnie Brody, Dave Freeman, Tricia De Dulin, Ian Wilson, executive producer Beryl Vertue, and producer Jon Penington. It photo-matches to a black-and-white image of Sykes and Cooper presenting the autographed board to a winning couple at the British Ideal Home Exhibition in the late 1960s. The photo accompanies the lot.
The plank later appeared in several documentaries about Tommy Cooper and Eric Sykes, including "The Late Great Eric Sykes", which first aired on BBC2 in November 2012.
All of the autographs are on one side of the wooden plank. The plank itself has some paint transfer and splintering. Dimensions: 182 cm x 22 cm x 2 cm (71.75" x 8.75" x 0.75")
