An Eddie Murphy neck appliance test bust made for the production of the 1996 comedy film, The Nutty Professor. In the film, Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy), an intelligent yet very overweight college professor, creates a serum that transforms him into a slim yet rotten character named Buddy Love.
To create the look of the overweight Klump family, many different facial and body appliances were made to accomplish the looks of each member, many of which being placed on busts such as this. The bust was cast from the actor and is made of a plaster that has been painted grey. The bust is fixed to a wooden base and features the words "Long Neck - Eddie Murphy" written across the center of the chest.
The piece shows some signs of wear from production use and age, but it remains in great overall condition.
