A stop-motion Behemoth (Randy Crenshaw) puppet from Henry Selick’s fantasy musical The Nightmare Before Christmas. Based on actor Thor Jorgensen and professional wrestler George “The Animal” Steele, Behemoth was a large man in overalls with an axe protruding from his head. He appeared throughout the film, most notably during the opening song, as he dragged Jack Skellington into the centre of town, and later when Lock, Shock and Barrel returned with the Easter Bunny and Behemoth excitedly proclaimed “Bunny!”

The puppet is made primarily of foam. Its original armature, which allowed it to be posed, was removed following production and replaced with an internal metal framework which allows it only to stand upright. It has a detachable replica resin axe, and stands on a cast resin display base with designs featuring the film's iconic swirling hills. The puppet’s feet and lip have been sympathetically restored and the puppet has had minor paintwork touch up in places. Dimensions: 37 cm x 23 cm x 23 cm (14½” x 9” x 9”)
