A pair of Nick Gillard's scripts from the production of Terry Gilliam's 2018 adventure-comedy The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
Gilliam's film was in various states of production for decades and for years it looked like it would never be made. Shooting originally began in 2000, but a series of unfortunate events - including the illness of actor Jean Rochefort and a flash flood that destroyed the sets and equipment - led to the production being cancelled (as seen in Gilliam's documentary, Lost in La Mancha). It was later revived in 2017 and finally released in 2018.
This lot comprises a pair of scripts belonging to noted stunt performer and coordinator Nick Gillard. His name is handwritten in the top right corner of each cover page. One is dated "6 January, 1999" and is 115 pages long and the other is dated "15th May, 2000" and is 113 pages long. They have some wear from production use and age, but overall, they remain in very good condition.
