A security guard (J. Dinan Myrtetus) mask made for Joel Schumacher’s 1987 horror film The Lost Boys. In the film, two young brothers move to a new town and discover that the neighborhood has a serious vampire infestation. This mask was made for the security guard seen during the film’s opening scene, who becomes the Lost Boys first onscreen meal. Unseen in the final cut of the film, this mask was made for the security guard’s dead body and consists of stretchy urethane with hair appliances attached to the scalp and upper lip. The mask includes a set of resin teeth which are peeling away from the lips. The skin has been painted to resembled old, rotting skin. This piece shows some wear due to production use and age, with tears to the latex, however it remains in fair, fragile condition. Dimensions: 14" x 10" x4" (35 cm x 25 cm x 10 cm)
