A replica Shards of Narsil display from Peter Jackson's fantasy-adventure The Lord of The Rings trilogy. An heirloom of the Kings of Arnor, the Shards were kept in Rivendell at the house of Elrond (Hugo Weaving) for safekeeping.

The lot is presented in a box, the centrepiece of which are metal shards that exhibit an antique metal finish. They are mounted on a 47" solid wood wall display plaque with a silkscreened design and a cloisonne medallion. Featuring a solid metal crossguard, the sword hilt is removable from the plaque and the grip is wrapped in dark brown leather. The pommel has an antique silver-plated finish and 24 carat gold-plated fittings. Engraved on the pommel are runes in the Elven language of Sindarin that translate as "Narsil is my name, a mighty sword; Telchar made me in Nogrod".

The piece is one of a limited-edition run of 5000 replicas produced by United® Cutlery Brands. The box exhibits minor signs of wear, but the lot is otherwise in very good condition. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the film’s conceptual designer, John Howe.
