A pair of Hobbit feet from Peter Jackson's epic fantasy trilogy The Lord of the Rings. Because of their leathery tough soles and thick warm hair, Hobbits walked barefoot throughout the trilogy.

This pair of foam-latex prosthetic Hobbit feet were made by the Weta Workshop make-up and prosthetics department. They were cast from individual moulds of the performer's feet, which were then enlarged and hand-painted in peachy skin tones, with a layer of real dark brown hair applied to the top of the foot.

Hobbit feet like these were never typically reused, as they were glued to the actor's feet for filming, making it difficult to keep the prosthetics intact during the removal process. The lot exhibits wear from production use, including staining and peeling on the soles, and there is a small split at the ankle of the right foot. Dimensions (each): 24 cm x 12 cm x 10 cm (9.5" x 4 3/4" x 4")
