Two teenage girls are on their way to a rock concert to celebrate a birthday when they venture into the city to find marijuana. Unfortunately, they are kidnapped and tormented by a gang of psychopathic convicts in director Sean S. Cunningham's classic 1970s slasher thriller. This signed poster is folded and shows only a tear on the upper edge, which has been reinforced on the back with cellophane tape, as well as a small tear with signs of wear along the left border. This film is known for the famous tagline, "It's only a movie, only a movie..." This director-signed example is in outstanding, unrestored condition.
"The Last House on the Left" is a horror film centered on rape and revenge, written and directed by Wes Craven in his directorial debut and produced by Sean S. Cunningham. The film stars Sandra Peabody, Lucy Grantham, David Hess, Fred J. Lincoln, Jeramie Rain, and Marc Sheffler, with Martin Kove in a supporting role. The story follows Mari Collingwood (Peabody), a teenage girl who is abducted, raped, and brutally murdered by a group of violent fugitives led by Krug Stillo (Hess). When her parents learn of her fate, they seek to exact revenge on the killers, who have taken refuge in their home. Similar to other exploitation films such as "Night of the Living Dead" (1968) and "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" (1974), "The Last House on the Left" has undergone critical reevaluation over time, with particular acclaim for its narrative and the performances of Peabody and Hess. The film has since garnered a cult following and was nominated for AFI's 100 Years...100 Thrills in 2001.
