Jonathan Barnavelt's (Jack Black) pair of screen-matched magic books with an ax, a stunt fedora, seven additional books, and a letter to Lewis Barnavelt (Owen Vaccaro) from Eli Roth's The House with a Clock in Its Walls. After the unexpected death of Lewis' parents, Jonathan wrote a letter inviting him to live in his magical house with a clock concealed in its walls by evil warlock Isaac Izard (Kyle MacLachlan). Jonathan wore his fedora when he picked Lewis up from the bus stop and loaned his magic books to his nephew to help stop Izard, which Lewis eventually did in part by using Jonathan's ax to free them both along with neighbor Florence Zimmerman (Cate Blanchett). Intentional distressing applied to the custom leather Spells to Find Lost Things hardcover book's spine, in addition to points of discoloration and other detailing on the custom-printed interior pages of the Spells of the Spiral hardcover in this lot, screen-match to shots in the film.
In addition to these custom books, this lot consists of a metal-bladed ax with a wood handle; a wool and nylon ribbon fedora labeled "Stunt" on the interior; seven additional spell books with custom leather covers aged by production; a letter printed on Jonathan Barnavelt "JB" letterhead to appear handwritten; and a blank sheet of "JB" letterhead.
