A crew gift bottle and box from the production of Peter Jackson’s 2012 fantasy adventure The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) is a hobbit who reluctantly joins a group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain home and defeat the dragon Smaug.

The gift consists of glass bottle within a wooden box. The bottle features a wax seal around the cork and a rounded bottom, meaning it is unable to stand upright. ‘Dorwinion 2012’ is printed on the label which is held to the bottle with two wax seals. Dorwinion is an area of Middle Earth and famed for its fine wines.

The box features ‘The Hobbit 2012’ etched into the lid, along with a representation of Smaug, and a resin coin painted gold. There is minor wear from age and storage, including some cracking to the wax seal around the cork, although it remains ultimately unbroken. Overall it remains in an excellent condition.
