President Zaphod Beeblebrox's (Sam Rockwell) Gun from Garth Jenning’s 2005 comedy epic, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Based on the novel by Douglas Adams, the film follows one of Earth’s few survivors, Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman) in his journey across the unknown galaxy. Along the way, he befriends the self-loving President of the Galaxy, Zaphod Beeblebrox, who brings with him this comically styled sidearm.
This custom made gun is constructed from separate resin parts that have been joined to create the piece. The base piece is finished in a semi gloss red paint with other pieces in light tan, silver, and gold. Please note that this item features some wear due to production use and age, including some small scratches in the paint and is missing a small part of the barrel.
This item comes presented in a custom-built opening frame display with a UV-Plexi facing over a laser-cut mount board featuring the film’s title as well as two stills from the film. The display can be easily opened and closed by use of magnets on the side, allowing for easy access to the prop, which remains in very good condition.
