Ford Prefect's (Mos Def) complete costume and accessories from the 2005 adaptation of Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy. The alien on an article-writing mission for Earth's entry into the Hitchhiker's Guide (which he opts to change from “harmless” to “mostly harmless”) wears this costume throughout much of the movie.
The costume consists of a beige matching three piece suit of trousers (marked “2 of 5 - hero b'down - dirty stage 2 - sc 23-82”), waistcoat (marked “2 of 4 - sc6-153”) and jacket (marked “3 of 3 - sc 6-153”), beige rain mac (marked “2 of 5”) and beige cap (marked “Hero Cap”), accompanied by a pair of square horn-rimmed glasses in their orange and black screen-used case (marked “Ford Glasses #2 – 1 of 2 – Hero - sc 74a + 120 + 50/55pt”) and wallet chain. An incredibly comprehensive set for the quirky character in a production worn and distressed condition with the added bonus of the excellent labelling of all components.
