Ben Braddock's (Dustin Hoffman) screen-matched jacket from Mike Nichols' The Graduate. Ben wore his jacket when he called Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft) to invite her for a drink at the Taft Hotel and as he waited for her at the hotel bar. He later wore the jacket as he reserved them a hotel room for the night. This jacket screen-matches to the raised seam on the back of the right sleeve and how the pattern switches directions halfway down, as well as the way the pattern lines across the lapels.

The Graduate was nominated for 17 awards, ultimately winning a total of 22 including an Oscar Award®, DGA Award®, Golden Globe Award®, BAFTA Film Award®, and NYFCC Award® for Best Director to Mike Nichols. Dustin Hoffman also won a Golden Globe Award® for Most Promising Newcomer Male and a BAFTA Film Award® for Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles.

This lot consists of a black-and-white wool herringbone weave Harry Cherry jacket, a Beverly Hills tailor, marked "Dustin Hoffman April 1967." The jacket exhibits underarm stains on the lining and minor stains on the sleeves.
