A Miniature Double Decker London Bus made for the production of the 1998 Sean Connery, Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes retro revival of The Avengers.

John Steed (Ralph Fiennes) and Dr. Emma Peel (Uma Thurman) team up to try and stop a plot by the evil Sir August De Wynter (Sean Connery) to change the Earth's weather and hold the planet to ransom.

The miniature is a replica of a classic British Routemaster bus and would have been used in the scene in which De Wynter unleashed his weather device on the world, covering London with thick snow. The entirety of Trafalgar Square was built in miniature, along with cars, cabs, post boxes and Nelson's Column, to accommodate the live action effect.

The '77a' Routemaster headed for Aldwych has little roll-able wheels and is a highly detailed version of the now-decommissioned model. It features advertising boards along each side and on the corners, details of the bus's route, a tiny number plate and headlights. The interior features miniature seats and a spiral staircase to the top floor. Remnants of the synthetic snow that covered the bus can still be seen.

The piece remains in great production-used condition, with slight erosion to the metal chassis caused by the production's use of salt to simulate snow.
