An N.T.I. head prototype model miniature and test components from James Cameron's The Abyss. After Virgil "Bud" Brigman (Ed Harris) disabled the warhead and awaited death, he was approached by a non-terrestrial intelligence, or N.T.I., that brought him to an alien city where a pocket of air was created for him to recover.

This lot consists of one model miniature N.T.I. head prototype with attached tubes and fiber optic fibers; one full-size, clear resin unpainted arm; two model miniature test arms made of resin, one painted in an iridescent film and the other unpainted with an attached tag hand-marked "Sample 'C'"; a pair of test eyes made of metal and glass hand-marked "No. 1" and "No. 2"; and two test rubber components, one of which is hand-marked "Violet," "Pearl," and "Blue" in black ink. The head is made of a clear vacuum-formed shell with iridescent material inside. When the ends of the fiber optic fibers are held against a light source, they carry the light up to the head, giving it an illuminated appearance. This lot exhibits discoloration from ink spread, discoloration from age, scuffing, and a buildup of grime. Dimensions: (approx.) 24" x 9" x 3" (61 cm x 23 cm x 7.75 cm)
