Leatherface's (Dan Yeager) "pretty lady" mask with a production back-up suit from John Luessenhop's horror sequel Texas Chainsaw 3D. Leatherface wore his "pretty lady" mask during the film's prologue, a flashback to a shootout in 1973 at the Sawyer clan's farmhouse, where his family were wiped out by local vigilantes.
A cornerstone of the horror genre, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is often hailed as the scariest movie of all time. The commercial success of this 2013 instalment in the long-running franchise proved the enduring appetite for Leatherface's terrifying screen presence.
The renowned KNB EFX team crafted the mask from rubber and foam latex, with hand-applied makeup detailing around the lips and eyes. Faux hair is applied to the brows and lashes, and a wig is fixed to the scalp. The surface is leather-stitched to enhance its grotesque patchwork appearance.
The mask is presented on an acrylic display stand, and the accompanying suit, a backup for filming, comprises a wool jacket (size "54 Long") and a matching pair of trousers (size "50 Regular"), together with a linen shirt (size "XL"). Dimensions: 32 cm x 25 cm x 44 cm (12.5" x 9.75" x 17.25")
