A T-1000 (Robert Patrick) bullet-hit zip-up LAPD shirt from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Sent from the future to kill future human resistance leader John Connor (Edward Furlong), the shape-shifting T-1000 took heavy bullet fire while chasing Connor, his mother Sarah (Linda Hamilton) and their T-800 protector (Arnold Schwarzenegger).
At the time of its production, Terminator 2 was the most expensive film ever made, but it was a massive box-office and critical success, and is considered one of the greatest sequels of all time. Robert Patrick's "mimetic polyalloy" hunter is one of the most memorable villains in action cinema, and Patrick went on to cameo in Wayne's World (1992) and Last Action Hero (1993).
This navy blue long-sleeved LAPD officer shirt has 10 pieces of chrome-coloured foam rubber affixed to the front, representing gunshot impacts. Two of the pieces are larger and eight are smaller to represent different types of bullet damage. Some of the pieces exhibit signs of wear, including discolouration and minor chipping.
