This collection features thirty-four original black-and-white photographs from the legendary Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille's epic film about Moses and the Exodus. The majority of the photographs capture stunning scenes from the film, with many including a paper snipe on the back that describes the depicted moment. Overall, the collection is in excellent condition, although some photographs exhibit pinholes, border creases, scratches, a small chip, or minor edge tears. The grade provided is an overall assessment of the collection's condition.

Cecil B. DeMille cast Charlton Heston as Moses because he resembled Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses in Rome. Years later, Heston would portray Michelangelo himself in "The Agony and the Ecstasy" (1965). During production, DeMille suffered a heart attack after climbing 130 feet to inspect a faulty camera atop one of the massive gates used in the exodus sequence. Ignoring his doctor's advice, he rested only two days before returning to finish the film. The parting of the Red Sea was created using large "dump tanks" that were flooded and filmed in reverse. Water was continuously dumped into catch basins to form the frothing walls, with gelatin added for sea-like consistency. The tanks have been removed, but the catch basin remains on the Paramount lot and can still be flooded for water scenes.
