A Donatello head with costume components from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film trilogy. Jim Henson's Creature Shop created the groundbreaking turtle suits for the first and second films in the franchise, with All Effects Company taking over for the third film, lending the chelonian protagonists a unique appearance for their time-traveling adventure to feudal Japan.

This green turtle head features foam latex skin mounted over a rigid underskull with power netting underneath, fixed resin eyes and teeth with slots below the eyes for the wearer, a loose tongue insert marked "D-2," and a purple fabric mask. The head comes built into a fiberglass kabuto samurai-style helmet with brass-color embellishments and cannot be separated. Its lower jaw hangs freely, likely due to it being attached as a separate component at one time.

Also included are one right hand marked "DON (R) ERNIE" for Donatello's martial arts stunt double Ernie Reyes, Jr. in the first TMNT film; one left hand; one thigh component marked "DON D5-08;" one right foot marked "L-A-I;" and one left foot marked "LEIF D" for Donatello's primary suit performer Leif Tilden in the first and second films. The foam latex exhibits discoloration, cracking, and crumbling throughout, with the head missing its upper teeth and the left hand missing its thumb.
