This one sheet is from Chapter 9: "Eyes of Evil," and it is folded, showing pinholes, sporadic border nicks, small tears, wear from folding and crossfolding with occasional separation (some reinforced with cellophane tape on the back), a diagonal crease across the right corners, and a horizontal crease ending in a small tear on the lower left corner. There is some handwriting on the back that does not bleed through.

"Tarzan the Fearless" is a 12-chapter pre-Code serial starring Buster Crabbe in his only portrayal of Tarzan. It was also released as a 61-minute feature film, created by editing together the first four chapters. Originally, the feature was intended to be followed weekly by the remaining eight chapters in episodic format, but it was often screened as a standalone film. Actress Jacqueline Wells co-starred in the production, later adopting the stage name Julie Bishop. The serial was produced by Sol Lesser, written by Basil Dickey, George Plympton, and Walter Anthony (based on the character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs), and directed by Robert F. Hill. Both the serial and feature film versions premiered on August 11, 1933.
