This complete set of eight lobby cards is from the feature film version of this pre-Code adventure serial starring Buster Crabbe as Tarzan. They showcase great images of Buster Crabbe and lead actress Julie Bishop, who is credited as "Jacqueline Wells." One card depicts the High Priest of Zar, played by Mischa Auer, who appears in an elaborate, Egyptian-inspired costume. All eight cards are unrestored and may show some signs of wear, including border wear, sporadic creases, small areas of toning, and edge tears. However, the color tints are rich and vibrant, with Tarzan portrayed in the border artwork as he performs his trademark jungle yell.

"Tarzan the Fearless" is a 12-chapter pre-Code serial starring Buster Crabbe in his only portrayal of Tarzan. It was also released as a 61-minute feature film, created by editing together the first four chapters. Originally, the feature was intended to be followed weekly by the remaining eight chapters in episodic format, but it was often screened as a standalone film. Actress Jacqueline Wells co-starred in the production, later adopting the stage name Julie Bishop. The serial was produced by Sol Lesser, written by Basil Dickey, George Plympton, and Walter Anthony (based on the character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs), and directed by Robert F. Hill. Both the serial and feature film versions premiered on August 11, 1933.
