Al Fresco's Circus Van from the production of the 2008 British family adventure Tales of the Riverbank. The story follows the tale of Hammy the Hamster, Roderick the Rat and GP the Guinea Pig in their quest to stop the Fat Cats destroying their beloved Riverbank.
The flamboyant Italian ringmaster takes his performers around the countryside for all to see and this truck formed part of his massive convoy that help the trio fight the WMD Fat Cats. The red wooden van features "Al Fresco's Flea Circus" and big-top motif emblazoned across the side and has rolling wheels, a little steering wheel that turns, a fold down windscreen and headlights. The whole rig rests on a rigid metal frame that allowed it to be raised and the crew to work below, and the driver’s seat is bottomless to allow the puppeteers access to the driver puppet.
Some of the trim around the top edge has come away over time and the piece displays some minor wear from production use and storage. The van remains in an otherwise overall good condition. It measures 183 cm x 106 cm x 53 cm (72” x 42” x 21”).
