Renton’s (Ewan McGregor) running costume from Danny Boyle’s T2 Trainspotting. Twenty years after betraying his friends, Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to Edinburgh where his old friends Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) are all waiting for him. With emotions running high, are his old friends ready to welcome him home.
This costume was worn by Renton, when he takes Spud on a run to Arthur’s Seat in order to try and help him beat his addiction. This set consists of a ‘Adidas’ T-shirt, a pair of black ‘Adidas’ shorts and pair of ‘Adidas’ trainers. Made of polyester, the T-shirt is mainly a light orange but with a darker shade of orange for the sleeves, and features a printed faux-silver ‘Adidas logo near the left shoulder. The shorts are made of black polyester, feature an elasticated waist, are marked as a size medium and has a handwritten label attached to the waist which reads ‘1-Renton Double’. The trainers are grey with green stripes and feature a handwritten label on the inside which reads ‘1-Renton- Running DBL’.
Used in production, this set remains in very good condition.
