Begbie’s (Robert Carlyle) jumper and trousers from Danny Boyle’s T2 Trainspotting. Twenty years after betraying his friends, Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to Edinburgh where his old friends Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie are all waiting for him. With emotions running high, are his old friends ready to welcome him home.
Begbie wears this costume as he heads to a nightclub, discovering he is in the toilet next to Renton and chases him to a parking garage. The costume consists of a ‘Pringle’ jumper and a pair of burgundy trousers. The jumper is made from a baby pink wool and features a grey and white diamond pattern on the front. The formal trousers feature belt loops, a zip fastening on the front and four pockets. A label reading ‘3 Begbie #3’ is present on the neckline of the jumper and two labels with the text ‘Hero Dirty’ and ‘on floor in pub’ are attached on the inside of the waistband of the trousers. The legs of the trousers feature intentional distressing, and the set remains in very good production-used condition.
