A set of original pencil sketches of designs from the 1978 action packed film Superman: The Movie. The seven pages with the design for 'Superman's Flying Reflection Against Black Velvet' and 'F.P Plate In Reflection Tracking Into Superman' are drawn in pencil by Paul Weston and were instrumental in creating some of the spectacular flying scenes used in the film and include some graphical representations of how the effect will be achieved with mirrors and gimbals, much like an elaborate magic trick. The largest page measures 45cm x 32cm (17.5" x 12.5") 33cm x 20cm (13" x 8")

This set comes from the personal collection of Paul Weston, a stunt man and stunt coordinator in the first two Superman films as well as many other classic movies. Paul Weston was instrumental in designing and creating some of the revolutionary techniques and rigs for the legendary flying and acrobatic scenes for these Superman films.
