A green crystal used in the 1987 action film Super IV: The Quest for Peace starring Christopher Reeve as Superman. Clark Kent is seen holding this crystal at the beginning of the movie when his mother tells him it is the last source of Kryptonite energy and to use it wisely, and again when he is severely injured after his first encounter with Lex Luthor’s ‘Nuclear Man’. The crystal which measures 33cm (13”) long, is made from a clear acrylic which gradually fades to green in the middle. It has a few slight scratches across the flat face but does not detract from the fact this is a great piece from Christopher Reeve’s last movie as the man of steel. The crystal comes custom framed in a display with laser cut mount board featuring the movie title and stills, which also includes several LED’s above the piece itself for added effect. The frame measures approximately 48cm x 59cm (19” x 23”).
