A set of original pencil sketches and production-made copies of designs from Richard Donner's 1978 action-packed film Superman: The Movie.
The three pages with the design for the 'Flying Gimbal for Helicopter', 'Forward Facing Gimbal' and 'Interchangeable Forward-facing Gimbal Arm' are drawn in pencil by Paul Weston and were instrumental in creating some of the flying scenes used in the film. The other pages are production-made copies of the design.
This set comes from the personal collection of Paul Weston, a stunt man and stunt coordinator in the first two Superman films as well as many other classic movies. Paul Weston was instrumental in designing and creating some of the revolutionary techniques and rigs for the legendary flying and acrobatic scenes for these Superman films.
The pages have some minor wear from production use, storage and age, including creases and curled edges, but remain in an otherwise excellent condition.
