A Superman (Christopher Reeve) SFX flying miniature from Richard Donner's Superman. Miniatures were used for some special effects shots of Superman flying through the sky.

This miniature is a resin model of Superman in his iconic blue, red and yellow costume, his arms stretched in front of him. A red fabric cape with the yellow "S" is attached to its back. There are small holes in the front and back of the model's head, through which a filament was passed and ran down a groove in the model's lower back. Superman's back has a hollow section to accommodate a small mechanism to make his cape flap. The model is attached via the model's left hand to a black custom-built stand that gives the illusion of flight. The miniature exhibits paint chipping and some discoloration, including stains on the legs. Dimensions: (displayed) 10" x 4" x 11" (25.5 cm x 10.25 cm x 28 cm)
