A Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg) paint test used in the production of Supergirl, a series based on characters from the DC Comics Universe. In the series, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), also known as Supergirl lands on earth 15 years after her cousin Superman. Kara attemps to live a normal earth-life while dealing with her alien origin. Red Tornado is an android created to destroy Kryptonians on Earth and is defeated by Supergirl in the first season of the show.
This paint test consists of a lifecast of Iddo Goldberg and is fitted with a cowl. The cowl is made from foam latex and is painted with red with gold details. The lifecast is made from biscuit foam and is painted red to match the cowl. Each eye is painted with black and gold details in order to give a robotic aesthetic. The piece rests on a custom wood stand.
Some portions of the foam latex exhibit some wear from use and age but it remains soft and the piece remains in overall good condition.
