Supergirl's (Helen Slater) flying costume with a cut-down Superman (Christopher Reeve) cape from Jeannot Szwarc's superhero film Supergirl. Supergirl wore her iconic red, blue and yellow costume throughout the film, and this particular one was created for flying scenes.

The costume's blue leotard has holes in each side through which a harness could be attached to Slater. The rest of the costume comprises a red skirt with a sewn-in yellow belt; a pair of red knee-high boots; and a red cape with the iconic yellow "S" symbol. The cape was originally created for Christopher Reeve as Superman, and has since been cut down to the correct length to be used by Slater as Supergirl.

The costume is presented on a custom-built display with an "S" symbol-shaped base, which illuminates when powered. The costume has some wear from use and age. It is discoloured and stretched in several places, and the cape has many small holes across it. The zip at the back of the leotard is locked in one position.
