A clapperboard and a behind-the-scenes photo from the production of J. J. Abrams' Super 8, both autographed by key cast members. Abrams and casting directors April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg conducted a nation-wide search for the film's core group of child characters. The final cast ultimately earned a number of significant accolades, including four Young Artist Award® nominations and the award for Best Ensemble Acting from the Phoenix Film Critics Society®.
This lot originates from a crew member. The acrylic clapperboard features a striped wooden slate, labels for director "JA" and director of photography "LF" (for Larry Fong) on front, and the signatures of child stars Elle Fanning (Alice Dainard), Joel Courtney (Joe Lamb), and Ryan Lee (Cary), along with director Abrams, cinematographer Fong, producer Bryan Burk, script supervisor Dawn Gilliam, and grip Mario A. Veloso, among others. The color-printed photo is signed by Courtney, Lee, Riley Griffiths (Charles Kaznyk) and Jade Griffiths (Benji Kaznyk).
