This striking poster features the beautiful blonde Veronica Lake and comes from the classic screwball comedy. Originally folded, the poster showed pinholes, edge wear, and some small chips and tears. It has been professionally linen-backed, and touch-ups have been performed to address these issues, with particular attention to the upper corners of the background, the blue area near the lower credits, and the borders, which have been airbrushed. The colors remain fresh and bright, and the poster presents beautifully.

"Sullivan's Travels" is a comedy written and directed by Preston Sturges. The film follows a renowned Hollywood comedy director, played by Joel McCrea, who seeks to create a socially significant drama. To gain real-life experience, he embarks on a journey posing as a tramp, accompanied by a struggling actress, played by Veronica Lake. The title references Jonathan Swift's 1726 satirical novel "Gulliver's Travels," which also explores self-discovery. Sturges was inspired by stories of John Garfield living as a hobo in the 1930s, and he wrote the script specifically for McCrea, making him the only actor considered for the role.
