Two concept sketches of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and The Joker (Jared Leto) hand-drawn by renowned comic artist Jae Lee for the promotion of David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) forced The Joker's ex-girlfriend Harley Quinn to join her Suicide Squad and stop Enchantress (Cara Delevigne) from destroying mankind.
Lee illustrated a number of acclaimed covers for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and other well-known comic book publishers, earning him a prestigious Eisner Award® and a second nomination. For the extensive marketing campaign, the artist created original character artwork of Quinn and the Clown Prince of Crime, then digitally scanned them for use in tie-in merchandise, key art, and other promotional materials.
These sketches of Quinn with her signature baseball bat, Good Night, and The Joker with a cocked pistol originated from Lee. Both are rendered and signed in graphite on heavyweight drawing paper. They exhibit some staining. Dimensions: (each) 17" x 11" (43.25 cm x 28 cm)
