A set of three limited-edition fine art photographic prints featuring Kurt Cobain in various locations in Rome, Italy. This lot comes from the personal collection of Sub Pop co-founder Bruce Pavitt. These images of Nirvana's frontman were taken by Pavitt on November 27 and 28, 1989.

One photo shows Cobain outside the Colosseum, and this image is featured on the cover of the book Experiencing Nirvana: Grunge in Europe, 1989 by Pavitt. The remaining two photos, also featured in the book, show Cobain greeting Pavitt as he prepares for soundcheck for Nirvana's concert at the infamous Piper Club and outside the hotel the day after the gig. All three images are printed onto Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper. The back of each print is signed by Pavitt in pencil and labelled "2/10". Dimensions (each print): 51 cm x 40.75 cm (20" x 16")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Bruce Pavitt, an American music promoter, writer, and musician best known for co-founding the influential independent record label Sub Pop in 1986.
